Foodservice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz Hungry Planet Beef™ Plant-Based GroundBuy Now
  • 2 tsp Vegan Worcestershire sauce*
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • Vegan butter (to taste)*
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Vegan provolone*
  • ⅔ cup caramelized onions
  • ½ cup Vegan thousand island dressing*
  • * Please use whatever products you have in your kitchen; vegan ingredients are just what we have in ours.

Instructions:

  • Step 1.

    In a large mixing bowl combine 12 oz Hungry Planet Beef™ with 2 tsp Vegan Worcestershire sauce, 1 ½ tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp Kosher salt.

  • Step 2.

    Form Hungry Planet Beef™ into 4, 3 oz oval shaped patties (to fit the bread shape).

  • Step 3.

    Heat 1 ½ tbsp olive oil on a nonstick skillet to medium-high heat. Cook patties, 4 min each side. Keep warm.

  • Step 4.

    Brush one side of each piece of bread with vegan butter.

  • Step 5.

    Assemble sandwiches starting with bread, add a patty, 1 slice of vegan provolone, 2 tbsp caramelized onions, and 2 tbsp 1000 island dressing, bread. Repeat with all sandwiches.
